So how my husband and I got into doing Fawn Rehabilitation is a very long story that can be made very short....it was an accident. LOL! In June of 2017 a small buck fawn was brought to myself and my husband because the people figured that since my husband was a veterinarian that we could nurse it back to health. Which we did and then realized that all the other fawn rehabs were full and we applied for a "NC Fawn Rehabilitation" Permit.  We received the permit before any call backs from other rehabbers. In this state there are very few rehabbers and they are all slammed. And we are happy to be able to help in this capacity and have now made it our mission.

My husband, Dr. Doug Dilworth and I feel like we have been "called" to do this important job.  It is more than just saving baby deer, it is about saving fawns and about using our position help educate people about our natural environment. We want to make sure that we keep people and deer safe!
